Please note, this is a hybrid role and will require frequent visits to client located in Denver; therefore, the candidate must reside in or near the Denver area.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

 This position provides dedicated, onsite consulting support to a retail division. You will lead all client initiatives related to customer centric retailing and leveraging customer insight for decision making.  The ideal candidate will possess both a deep consulting and analytic background that enables them to derive actionable insights and drive engagement with category management teams and division leadership.   He/she should be a self-starter who is prepared to execute against a strategic plan to consistently deliver on targets and see tasks through to execution.

In this client facing role, you will serve as the local, onsite customer insight champion, working with category management and division leadership on a daily basis.  As a key member of the retail team, your support will include utilizing Symphony RetailAI tools.  The ability to generate insights and partner with the divisions to drive value from those insights is vital to the success of the role.  This person must be a proficient communicator who can work independently or with groups to achieve optimal performance.

 KEY ACTIVITIES

  • Coach merchant teams to use customer insight in their day to day decision-making
  •  Support client objectives to improve their overall business by driving customer loyalty and sales
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations backed by a fact-base
  • Utilize BI tools including Symphony reports to help answer retailer business questions
  • Partner with internal and external CPG focused groups on key initiatives
  • Train clients on use of Symphony RetailAI tools and insights
  • Support all key business strategies as identified by client



    WHAT WILL YOU BRING?
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a Related Field is required
  • At least 5-7 years of experience working across merchandising / category management (assortment, pricing, promotion, placement), either from a management consulting or retailer standpoint
  • Experience leveraging data and analytics for category management / merchandising decision making
  • Strong analytics aptitude with excellent problem solving skills
  • Prior experience from a top tier management consulting firm.
  • Experience working with customer centric data / loyalty data
  • Familiarity with BI applications 
  • Ability to develop productive and professional client relationships
  • Persuasive and clear oral and written communication skills
  • High technical knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
